Things to do in Bali

Top 10 things to do in Bali:

  1. Surf. Bali (Kuta beach) is considered one of the best places for surf training. If you arrive here and don't get on a surf board, it's the same as to go to the sea for the first time and not going for a swim. There are large quantities of surf schools which provide their services. The best school however, that has more than 8 years of experience, and has become glorified because of the best services in Bali - is Prosurf! It has a huge pool, dressing rooms, restaurant, sun loungers, your own camp rooms and exciting parties every month! All classes are performed on the school grounds. Moreover, special focus will be made on safety, since surfing is not a safe sport. Not the least important, Prosurf is an international surf school. Classes are in English, German, French and Russian depending on your desire. You can improve your language skills and find friends from all over the world.
  2. Sunsets. Bali has extremely beautiful sunsets. Tourists and locals come to the beach every day to enjoy this royal view. Potato Head, Kudeta, La Plancha - are some of the best places to enjoy the view. You can also purchase a cocktail or fresh juice there, and after that you'll undoubtedly fall in love with Bali. As well, you can have a picnic at the beach - it will be romantic and unforgettable experience.
  3. Spa. This is a whole other story. In Bali, every step of the way there are lots of salons, offering spa services. Massage costs start from $5 and up. The best low-price salon is Carla Spa. The most expensive one – is Karma Kandara. There are a wide range of services - from simple "Bali massage" to different service packages including complete body massage, wrap, flower bath etc.
  4. It is necessary to view the island. Indonesia, like a lot of other countries, has its own history and culture. Bali is not an exception. You need to visit a few places of worship. We advise to go to the East and the North of Bali.
  5. Taste seafood at Jimbaran. Jimbaran is famous for its very delicious seafood. You come to the restaurant, select what you want to taste (lobster, shrimps, fish, crawfish, mussels). Sit down at your table and in 10-20 minutes they make your fish or shrimps that you've chosen. All the Jimbaran restaurants are situated right on the beach, so if you come there before 6 p.m. you will not only taste delicious seafood but enjoy the sunset as well. We recommend also visiting the Melasti restaurant. Their staff very polite and they will pick you up from and drive back to the hotel.
  6. One more point for a delicious food! We advise you to visit the restaurants: Ultimo (Italian cuisine), Sushi Tei (Japanese cuisine), Biku (they make delicious patties and yogurt soup), Passargad (Iranian cuisine, they have very tasty shish-kebab and the best hookah on the island). There are some other restaurants in the rice fields of Canggu, but they are not so famous, so it will be better to show them at the local level.
  7. Shopping. You can get a large selection of swim clothes (Billabong and Rip Curl stores are everywhere). At the market you can buy cheap beachwear and if you want something original and unusual, you are better off going to Oberoi and Legian Str. - this is a paradise for shopping addicts. Each store has its own style and highlights. Trust us, you won't just go and buy nothing.
  8. Night clubs. If you like rock music - go to the ‘Espresso bar’ in Kuta and if you prefer reggae music there is an excellent bar ‘Reggae bar’ in Kuta also. At least once you should visit Bounty and Sky Garden night clubs. On Friday and Saturday night clubs of Seminyak are opened for you. Here however dress attire is a bit more formal, so leave the shorts behind and dress up a little. They do not have a doorman, but if you come, wearing mule shoes, shorts and athletic shirt you will feel like a fish out of water. Here is Bali's fashionable society – girls are wearing dresses and heels, guys are generally wearing pants and shirts. We recommend you to visit Potato Head, Cocoon, W, Anantara and Jenja. La plancha - we want to talk about it separately. They have disco here once a month, their club-cafe is situated just on the beach. On the day time you can sit on the pouf, listening to the good music and it also has also a great sunset view after 5 p.m.
  9. To take a trip to Uluwatu surf spot. Besides the fact that Uluwatu has very beautiful landscapes, if you come here in the evening - you should only go downstairs. In one of the cafes situated just on the sea cliff, you can enjoy not only the sunset but professional surfers as well. Uluwatu is considered one of the best surf spots in Bali and the waves are very good there.
  10. To visit Lembongan Island. In Bali you won't find snow-white beaches, except the East Bali. Lembongan Island is a real snow-white beach with blue ocean like a "Bounty" picture.
